Behind the Scenes
Here are the details of the day.
Saturday 25 October from 10am till 4pm
The day will be held at the East Roseville Memorial Community Hall, 6 Babbage Road, East Roseville. (The hall is opposite a small group of shops.) Parking is in Park St and Addison Ave or in the carpark off Park St.
The day will begin with morning tea and an introduction to Cavalcade. We'll show you how garments are preserved, packed correctly in boxes, labelled etc.
You will then have the opportunity to work in small groups to sort through our 1950s boxes to make sure the contents are correctly categorised, packed, labelled etc and in the process see some wonderful garments. There will also be tours of our rooms.
We will stop for a lunch break around 1pm. I suggest you bring some lunch with you as there is nowhere nearby to buy it. Tea and coffee will be available.
To help us organise the day, could you please let us know if you are able to definitely join us for the day or a part of it?
